1. With regards to films that improperly reference their city’s geography/culture (eg people living in Bay Area going to Alcatraz) … as a new englander, my biggest gripe is Will Smith drinking a Dunkin’ Donuts coffee in “Hancock”, a film set in LA. Obviously, that film had bigger problems but it always irked me that he drank a coffee from a franchise that clearly does not exist in California.

2. Childhood films that make you reevaluate your perspective upon a grownup viewing…”Big”. Recently rewatched that and couldn’t help but speculate about the scene that would have taken place after the last scene of the film where Josh reunites with his mom. The questions she must have had…”Where were you?” “Did he touch you?” “Let’s get a police sketch artist in here to draw up a picture of this pedophile.” etc … For a light hearted comedy, the mom was going through absolute hell wondering about where her son was…

That was a quality rant.
(And I am shamed by their wrists.)
