I found it in a Goodwill shop or somethin’ like that.

My mom didn’t make me wear it, it was all my idea. Which brings up a more troubling question: Why in the hell didn’t she *stop* me?

And believe it or not, I am straight.

A few years later in junior high, I insisted on wearing much-too-short-shorts in PE. (I swear I’m straight)

Also, in elementary school, i refused to wear anything that wasn’t sweatpants. I had several sets of matching sweatshirts and sweatpants in lovely colors like teal and purple. And yeah, I’m a guy.

My mom made me wear a hideous flowered blouse to go on random job interviews around town when I was 16.

The embarrassment still haunts me from time to time.

While this is technically not my mother dressing me in this outfit, she let me go out in public like this so hopefully it will count.

I was no more than 8 or 9 years old and I wanted to take a ride on my bike, a sweet Haro FST (look it up, its sweet) to the local QT to buy some comics, a slurpee, and play some Rush’N’Attack. But rather than wear typical clothing, I want in my full ninja outfit complete with mask and fake sword.

I don’t think you could get away with that now as the sight of a small ninja riding a freestyle bike would illicit some serious panic in the suburbs.
