P.S. Love Nigel’s humour!

The first paycheck I got was for $14.95. I went to the comic book store and bought a Superman t-shirt.

My first paycheck was for the hefty sum of $50. When I was 11 or 12, I got a “job” pulling weeds in a family friend’s garden while they were on vacation. It was hard work, but someone had to do it, right? Plus, after I was done weeding, I got to watch The Monkees and drink Werther’s Ginger Ale.

I was the only employee, and mainly counted out the tinsiest of beads into bags of 50 or 100 while getting called a circus freak by old ladies because i had a streak of purple in my hair.
My best guess is around $107, minus taxes.
