I completely adored The Pirate Movie in my pre-teen days. My best friend and I desperately wanted to be Kristy McNichol, which, looking back on it, I can say is, “What? Why?”

Most people I mention it to now have no idea what I’m talking about. Watching it these days, it really is horrendous, but I love it anyway.
