Not even for the fact that it’s Al, but I just love script! I know every line and quote it even today!

Love the theme song (we’re men in tights). I hit the high note real nicely myself.

I was a kid when it came out so I didn’t get some of the references until a few years later, but I still watched it every time it came on HBO.

It is truly a great movie.

We used to love Mel Brooks Robin Hood: Men in Tights and I still love it today.

Later I came to love UHF and the Zucker movies.

And I really do think it’s never been topped. The only satire I love more is Dr. Strangelove, but I didn’t see that until high school.

It perfectly skewers all of the teen movie tropes and some that apply to other genres as well (like the token black guy, slow clapping guy) and it even throws in a musical number. If you’re a huge Hughes fan or an American pie connoisseur you owe it to yourself to check out this movie.

Another parody movie I love is Vampires Suck! :) both are very funny!

I just love that film, and after that I saw Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles, setting up my lifetime affection for Mel Brooks. I still maintain that Spaceballs is more entertaining than all the Star Wars films combined.

Whenever i think of the “ridiculous speed” scene I still crack up.

Of course, Al was a guest star in all three installments, so that never hurt!
To this day , both the movies and the short-lived TV Series of the same name are among my favorites.

In fact, it was the first comedy film I was ever shown as a child. And every other film has just been a pale comparison to that one.
