LOVED this episode! Jane is just one of my favorite people ever.

My first stuffed toy was a My Buddy doll. I actually had a strange resemblance to the doll – thick brown hair, sported lots of overalls – which made me love the doll even more. It was enough of a resemblance that my dad walked in the door one afternoon, saw My Buddy laying lifeless face down on the couch and attempted to start CPR, thinking that I was near the brink of death. True story!

My parents took me to Babyland General Hospital where the Cabbage Patch Dolls are “born” when I was about 3. These dolls were the super nice ones that were all fabric and hand-painted and stuffed. I was told I could pick out ANY doll I wanted…. Instead, I picked out a tiny Bunny Bee and named it Moose. I still love Moose to this day…

The first stuffed animal I was attached to was not “stuffed” it was a bear skin rug. I called him Oscar, and he lived on my bed as a bed spread. I was about 10. My father was an avid hunter, and brought Oscar home one year. I took him into my room put him on my bed and he was there until I moved out and joined the military.

I have a bear we got for free with a coupon when I was little. The store had a ton of last names for its name, so I took one of those for the bear, Miller. In middle school the dog ate his nose and tore off half of his leg, but he got surgery-d, and is still around, in an L L Bean coat for bears to hold him together.
