Yeah, my predictions weren’t my favorites either, I was just going by audience response and judges remarks. I don’t have any real favorites.I haven’t gone back (as you do) to watch any dances since “Gravity” and that makes me kinda sad,I don’t know if it’s the contestants or different choreographers or what. “Gravity” was the last dance that really wowed me, and I wanted to watch over again. Bunheads sounds like a great show. Has anyone seen “All The Right Moves” with Travis and Nick? I watched the first one and a lot of SYTYCD alums are part of his dance company. Melanie,Allison,Ade,I think and a couple more.Some dancing, mostly drama.

Witney is not my favorite either. I’m just trying to predict here. I haven’t seen Bunheads but I think I would like to!

Megan- I agree, Season 4 was pretty fucking phenomenal.

Darcie- “lacking” is definitely the word for these dances!

Melissa- I’m looking forward to more from Eliana too! Have you seen Bunheads? It’s (surprisingly to me) REALLY good! Lots of beautiful ballet and Sutton Foster is so damn charming.

Sounds like you all think Witney might go all the way… I gotta say, she’s not my personal favorite, but we’ll see! They are sending 2 dancers home on the next episode, so it’ll be down to 8 at the end.

Between the two weeks off and the new no-results-show format I am SO thrown off this year. I can usually predict much better.

I remember when I was catching up with SYTYCD past seasons on YouTube when I started watching late in the game thinking that Twitch didn’t have much to do in the door routine but he was so charismatic, Cyrus didn’t do much with it. I can not wait to see what Eliana does now that she won’t be dancing with him. I thought she was great in the auditions but we haven’t seen much from her since then.

Ryan Ramirez was always Mia’s assistant even before the season that she didn’t make it on to. I remember that from an interview.

I was so indifferent on the girls’ elimination… but the boys actually surprised me. Next week is really hard to predict. I think there’s only two girls and two boys who will be safe, right? For the girl’s I’d say Witney for sure and maybe Eliana. And then for the guys I’d say Cole and Cyrus will be safe this week. I’d guess Will might be done unless he really shines earlier in the episode. Same for Tiffany, she’s too similar to Audrey but stands out a little less.

I predict Cyrus will only last another week or two. And Witney and Cole might win this whole things.

Megan, I’m with you, this week reminded me also how strong Season 4 was. I was disappointed by this week’s dances. In comparing these dances to the originals I found them lacking. I really didn’t like Cole and Linsay’s take on the “Addiction Dance” I did like that they tried to change it up a bit, but for me, I thought Kupono’s take with his sinister seductiveness, was better than Cole’s robotic blankness. I was also surprised that Amelia didn’t get the votes to keep her there, I figured she would be a favorite. Cyrus does seem to be a sweetheart, and a favorite, but I just don’t see any growth with him. It will be interesting to see how he does with the allstars. I’m thinking Audrey, Witney,Cyrus and Cole will go to the finals.

No comments? Sad – I’m always happy when I find other people who love this show as much as I do. This week’s dances just reminded me of how strong Season 4 was! I miss Josh/Katee/Twitch!

I was bummed to see Amelia and Matthew go, though I’m glad they saved Lindsay and George. Lindsay surprises me each week, and definitely did not deserve to go home. I really liked Matthew’s first couple of dances, but the two or so dances haven’t been as strong. I wonder how much longer Cyrus will make it – he’s not my favorite but I can see why he’s been kept around.

Who I think will make it far – Eliana, maybe Chehon?, Will, Audrey. I would’ve guessed Matthew before this week too.
