I remember telling the girl who lived across the hall from me in college that we ought to turn her newly-acquired Disney edition of Trivial Pursuit into a drinking game, but nothing ever came of that.

Was eating tako (octopus) and poki (squid) in an attempt to absorb the alcohol (they were what was at hand)…that didn’t work out so well several hours later, after the game got all of us trashed, including people far more accustomed to tying on than I was (I was and am a relatively big guy, but never have been a big drinker). After a long philosophical argument with an ex-Marine who was as drunk as I was, in which neither of us could Quite formulate a coherent point, I staggered back to my room, where my roomie and other dormmates noted I didn’t Seem drunk at all. Good to know. However, nature took its yawning course during my stuporous sleep, and I wasn’t good for much while moving my stuff out the next morning…

I think the first drinking game I took part in was while watching the Amazing Race. Sleep deprived and stressed-out Americans flung all over the world, forced to complete physical and (especially during the earlier seasons) mental challenges.

-Drink when a Racer yells at someone in Spanish in a non-hispanic country
-Drink when a team loses their clue, their money or their passports
-Drink when the host, Phil, raises an eyebrow

Same effect!

It is pretty well-established that people doing something in a public space have no “reasonable expectation of privacy” [legal jargon], and thus Person A has no grounds to sue if Person B talks about what they saw Person A doing, in said public space. An example of this I remember from law school is Person B saw Person A at some sort of gay pride rally, and told people at the workplace, and Person A was pissed about it because he had been keeping it secret, BUT the rally was in public, so he had no grounds to sue. (Note, though, that if the workplace became hostile because of this, THAT would be a lawsuit, but against the job, not Person B individually.)

Also, in answer to the Firsts question: probably beer pong, since I am pretty sure my first drinking game was in the basement of some frat somewhere. But … my memory is kinda vague on that front, for obvious reasons.
