Oh my gosh, yes! Mine is definitely E.T. as well. I don’t know how anyone can think he’s cute or endearing. I was terrified of him at age 2 when we saw it in the movie theater, and I’m still freaked out by him. I refuse to watch that movie. In contrast, I always sort of liked the Gremlins. But ugh. E.T. No.

I had never actually seen the movie until I was much older but based on posters and previews on TV, I was scared to death of Chucky from Child’s Play. It seriously scared the crap out of me and if I suspected the movie I was seeing might have a preview for it, I would duck out of the theatre. I was really easy to scare as a kid, but as a grown man, there are very few films that make me feel scared. But having seen the movies later in life I can say that while they are in no way scary (mostly dumb, though in a surprisingly watchable way) part of me tenses a bit when I think Chucky is going to appear on screen.

The first movie monster I saw in the movie that scared me was Fizzgig from The Dark Crystal, even more than the Skeksis. The Skeksis are hideous and evil, by Fizzgig had many teeth and just friggin’ screamed at you. So much!

Actually your right about the standard cheese on the Philly cheese steak, is cheese whiz. But, I think you may have been confusing whiz and wit when ordering. For example if I wanted 2 I’d say let me get 2 cheese wit. Cheese being the whiz and wit being with onions.

Basically the whole movie of The Witches. The witches looked horrifying when the took off their human faces. A woman tries to kidnap a boy by using a big snake and chocolate. The boy gets turned into a mouse and all the witches try to stomp on him.
