I remember her from that Natty Gann and I fell in love with her when I was growing up. I saw her again in Lake Placid and she is still hot 🙂

Dang it. I’ve never been on a vacation. Good luck to the rest of you.

I remember going to Disney World with the family when I was not quite 4 years old. I remember buying a Pinocchio stuffed doll (which I kept until my parents moved almost 20 years later and I had to make some tough decisions), losing my Mickey Mouse figurine over the side railing of our hotel into a bush in the courtyard, and other things, but most notably sticking a corn of cob into my mouth and then showing it off to everyone at a dinner! I was mad talented 🙂

First vacation I can remember was a trip to Disney Land/World (the one in Florida) when I was 5. My only memories are:
    a) Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride being the scariest thing ever.
    2) In every photo, I am winking and giving two thumbs up. Every single one.
    d) My mother losing the lens out of her glasses and spending what I’m sure was at least 12 hours* at Pearl Vision waiting for it to be repaired.

*when you’re little, time passes in a strange way. Especially when you’re forced to sit in an uncomfortable chair when you’d rather be riding exciting rides.

The first vacation I remember goes back to when I was 5 years old and our family went to Ocean Shores, WA to spend the week at a beach house.

I remember going into the water with my brothers and leaving my favorite red shoes on the shoreline. When I got out of the water, my red shoes were nowhere to be found. I remember my older brothers trying to help me find them as they knew how much I liked them.

Turns out I was happier that my older brothers tried finding them with me than being sad about losing the shoes in the first place. I really looked up to my older brothers.

When I was 7 my whole family went to Disneyland and there was sn earthquake. We then flew on to Mazatlan where there was a cyclone. Interesting first vacation but it didn’t scare us away from seeing the world.

Ps Ms Salanger shot part of that movie on a friends ranch in BC where I met her and the wolf. Long ago.

I remember taking a trip Into canada. We stayed at this lake that was supposed to have some sea monster in it. I was out swimming and steped on this big round thing. I WAS OUTTA THERE!!! 2 days later I got the courage to go back and check it out. It was some kind of underwater cable.

The first family vacation I can remember was much like every family vacation I can remember… it was a timeshare, because my cheap dad would always manage to make our family vacations free by coinciding them with some timeshare offer… and it was usually to some godsawful place that no kid wants to go, like Four Corners or something like that. Actually, that was was kinda cool, we got to go horseback riding and fishing on that vacation and I caught a craw-fish.

The first family vacation I remember was to the mediterranean sea in Spain. I desperately wanted to go for a “swim” (with just a couple of years of age) despite that sea was not too calm. So I got on their nerves until they bought… is it “floating wings”? (“Schwimmflügel” in German)… All of us had a great time there, and I really started loving the sea, swells, and I was probably more often diving than swimming. 🙂 Greetings & thanks for having Meredith. I loved Natty Gann. 😉

I remember the first time I realized we were taking a road trip like other families took on a regular basis. We drove from Southern California where we lived to Northern California to see my grandparents. My little brother and I were in the back seat of our Chevy Impala sans seat belts let alone car seats inhaling my stepfather’s second hand smoke as we slid from side to side with each turn. We took some random route that included a stop in Nevada for gambling that required us to hang out in the parking lot with my mother. Took a long time to want to road trip again.
