Myq Kaplan and Samm Levine give their oscar lists 2012

Myq Kaplan (“Last Comic Standing”) and Samm Levine (“Freaks & Geeks”) join Cole and Vanessa for an hour of straight-up Academy Awards talk! The four get Extremely Loud & Incredibly close as they make their predictions of who will and should win those gold statuettes, try to make sense of Tree of Life, argue about Hugo, mention Drive a lot, giggle at Albert Nobbs, break the silence of The Artist, and “Descendants” into madness as they give out some special awards of their own.

Let us know your special Oscar award (any sort of recognition you’d like to give to something from film this year that wasn’t nominated) on our website for a chance to win the Entertainment Weekly Oscar issue signed by Myq, Samm, Cole and Vanessa!

I don’t understand the love for the Chemical Brothers soundtrack to Hanna. I thought it was a cacophonic disaster that was wholly inappropriate and almost ruined the movie for me.

I know it was said during the podcast but Best Technologically Enhanced performance for folks like Andy Serkis, seems the perfect category. “Caesar is home.”

Down on Beginners and positive reviews for Crazy Stupid Love… Oh boy what are other people missing about how brilliant Beginners was? I think in a few years people will realize what a great romantic-comedy Beginners is. For shame Po’scars podcast! Even still, i love you guys and keep up the great podcast.
