My first xmas special memory was the annual viewing of Rudolph. Back then you had to wait for it to be on tv and you had to be there when it was on and save bathroom breaks for the commercial.

“A Muppet Christmas Carol” for sure. When I was in school our teacher got a touch of the “lazies” right before Christmas break and played this movie everyday for a week. Just come in, sit down, and watch the Muppets. This movie doesn’t just get me in the Christmas spirit, it reminds me of the simple days of no school work.

A Muppet Christmas Carol for me too. We also had the soundtrack and I sang and danced to that thing pretty much every December of my youth. Today, whenever I think of the Christmas Carol story, I can only think about it in muppet form.

“The Bear Who Slept Through Christmas” for me. Someone got it for me on VHS when I was 4 or 5 years old and I wore the hell out of it. I think I liked it so much because the tape was black but the flap was gray. I’m pretty sure I still have it somewhere, just don’t have anything to watch it on.

I know I’m really late to this, but oh well. My “first” about a Christmas movie/TV special was “A Merry Mirthworm Christmas”. My older sister and I would wait for this one every year and watch it every time it aired. We’d even act out parts of it while we watched. I was stoked when I finally tracked down a VHS copy (complete with gigantic clam shell case!) a few years ago. It doesn’t really hold up, but I still have my memories. LOL
