I have never bought an action figure for myself, but the doll I had as a kid was some sort of ca. 1969 astronaut guy, who came with (iirc) an lunar landing device. Large, as the 1960s G. I. Joes and Barbies were.

Some very pleasant singing…I’m perhaps a bit self-satisfied that I had no idea what the PERFECT STRANGERS theme was, though all the others were at least slightly familiar. Of course, pay cable series and those on PBS still have time for theme music…most of the time…

I absolutely loved when you were singing the theme songs.
It brought me so much joy. If I wasn’t at work I would have sung along.
Keep up the great work. You two are awesome.

My first action figure was a G.I. Joe called Shipwreck. It came with a little parrot. I thought it was so cool until I showed it to my friends, and they made fun of me. This happened to me a lot. Thinking that I was cool, then finding out that other people did not agree. *Sigh* I’m not sure that has changed.

My first action figure was of The British Bulldog the WWF wrestler. I was in Junior High and I’m sure there was a boy involved somehow. I did, however keep my little action figure for many years even after that boy was long gone. It is long gone now, but I think about it every once in awhile and chuckle to myself.

Definitely Ghostbusters! I don’t remember which one, specifically, was first but I definitely had all of them.

The first action figure I asked for specifically as a gift was Catra from She-Ra (with her horse, Storm). And the first action figures I saved up for to buy myself were the Disney’s Gargoyles toys. Had to have them all!

I remember collecting the Land Before Time puppets with my cousins. I’m not sure what happened, exactly, but somehow I ended up with all of them in my possession… 😛
