    I used to have a four issue comic book adaptation of Disney’s Black Hole movie as a wee lad. Maximillian the evil robot just exuded menace. Good times.

    Although I didn’t realize it until many years later, the first scifi books I was into was Anne McCaffrey’s PERN series at age 12. There were definitely others I read before that, but I love dragons so their memory has been erased. lol
