Like Leonard I remember writing about movies but I can not remember if I wrote a review before college, which my first was about Black Swan. I wasn’t yet writing reviews for anyone but that movie hit me like a ton of bricks and the words poured out of me like I had never experienced. It actually came out on my 21st birthday and I felt like Darren Aronofsky was saying, “Hey Taylor, here is a movie I made specifically for you!” I love that movie and even though that was my first I am actually proud of that little review.

I’ve never formally wrote a movie review before but in college I had to write a paper on a movie of my choice. I chose Sweeney Todd and had to defend which movie genre it fit into. Of course I put that movie into a musical and horror genre! I love that musical so it was a treat getting to view it for it’s cinematography, setting, plot lines and dialog which I had to include in my defense. It was so much fun! I may actually still have that paper somewhere 🙂

Cole, your shout out to your brother and his dog at the beginning really touched me. The world could really use more people like you all in it. I adopted a senior dog last year and she has really changed my life.

I’ve never written a review before but I’ve always loved reading reviews covering movies and television, and love talking it over with friends afterwards.
