Hi all – as most of you had heard on the podcast, Vanessa and her husband John were delighted to be expecting a baby boy. Unfortunately this week, she went into pre-term labor, delivered him very early and he did not survive. Some of you have reached out and all your positivity is very appreciated. If you have asked about a way in which you might help, a memorial fund has been established in Charlie’s memory and Vanessa is able to see all the donations and notes as they come in. The fund is with the wonderful organization A Place Called Home and every gift is going to go towards giving under-priveledged children in LA happier childhoods and exposure to the arts.
Rachel Dratch (Saturday Night Live) joins Cole and Vanessa live from the 12th Annual SF Sketchfest to chat about NKOTB, Go Daddy, Beyonce’s Super Bowl hijinks, Elijah Wood, Astral Massagers, horse meat, Del Close, Debbie Downer, Pokemon vs. Nickelodeon, Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler’s modern engagement, unwarranted elevator parenting advice, a Girls reality show and Rachel’s new book Girl Walks Into A Bar…
Leave your answer to the Firsts question (the first person someone said you reminded them of) on our website for a chance to win a comfy cozy SF Sketchfest T-Shirt!
Stephen Tobolowsky (“Groundhog Day,” “Sneakers,” “Memento” and a billion other things) joins Cole and Vanessa to spin yarns about home invasion urban myths, Bionic Dog movies, Margo Martindale, The Universal Studios tour, Phil Alden Robinson, The Terminator Principal, Island Hunters, “bullshit” on Deadwood, The Country Bears, Frank Langella’s denial of Spaceballs, Around the Fire, Glee, power outages in San Francisco, body switching movies, Judge Judy and Stephen’s hilarious encounter with Steven Seagal on The Glimmer Man.
Leave your answer to the firsts question (The first surprise party that was ever thrown for you or you threw for someone else) on our website for a chance to win a Stephen Tobolowsky’s Birthday Party DVD or Groundhog Day Blu-Ray signed by Stephen!
